Filled with a rich history of contributions to the area's development, Conshohocken began as an industrial town, housing such then-unknown businesses as "Lee of Conshohocken", begun in 1887, later known as just "Lee Tires" (the building still stands on Hector Street today and is used as offices for many of the area's businesses) , and "Alan Wood Steel", which operated for over 145 years with the largest workforce in the entire country at one time!
Today, the conveniently-located Conshohocken area houses many of the country's top pharmaceutical, insurance, real estate and financial companies such as Glaxo Smith-Kline, the Citizens Bank complex, and of course, The Prudential Select Properties!
